It's also can be made from the natural gas, coal-bed gas, waste gas from power plant,coking plant and steel plant, wastes from wood, crop haulms, etc. The physical and chemical capabilities of methanol are nearly the same with petroleum and diesel oil, so the replacement of oil resources with methanol has been approved throughout the world. Methanol replaces oil and lightens the pressure from
the environmental pollution. As methanol is a kind of fuel rich in O2, if you add 40% methanol to gasoline and diesel oil, they will fully burn until CO and hydrocarbon for low emission. Thus, the usage of methanol high clean fuels is quite important to human beings and will make a great influence to the development of our entire economy. According to the estimation of the statistics, if the international price of oil increases by USD1.00/barrel, the GDP of China will decrease 0.06% or even more. If we use methanol fuels to replace oil for the lack, computing the international price of crude oil methanol high clean fuels at USD35.00 and USD15.00 respectively, our GDP will increase by 1.2%.
